More information

With over 20 years of culinary experience, Chef Zak brings a vibrant, worldly energy to the kitchen, shaped by a career that began in the mid-nineties in some of Leeds’ most respected restaurants, including Brasserie 44/Pool Court, Leodis, and Sous le Nez.

Zak’s journey took a defining turn in 2003 when he relocated to Barbados. There, he led the pastry section at the island’s iconic fine dining destination, The Cliff, before stepping into the role of Head Chef at Scarlet. He later opened and ran his own restaurant, Coast, on the famous St. Lawrence Gap — a bustling culinary and nightlife hub known for its bold island flavours.

His skills and creativity led him to work as a private chef for a high-profile international client, travelling extensively between Barbados, Geneva, London, and the South of France. From intimate dinners to high-end events, Zak’s food blends refined technique with bold, expressive flavours inspired by his global experience.
