What's included

It’s Sunday lunch at its very best, the kind of food that brings family and friends together, gives you time to relax, catch up and enjoy a long, lazy lunch.

Four courses. Start with a little zero-waste seasonal canapé on arrival, before sitting down to enjoy a small seasonal soup, followed by the main event – our great British roast with all the trimmings. Then finish with a classic British pud with a Method twist.

First up, it’s beef; dry-aged sirloin from our local farmer Tom Kilby of Thorp Arch, roasted to perfection and served with a golden Yorkshire pudding and plenty of rich red wine gravy.

More information

Over the coming fortnights, we’ll turn our attention to other great Yorkshire meats: outdoor-reared pork from West Moor Outdoor in Easingwold, lamb from farmer Tom from our fields, locally shot venison, and, of course, birds from Soane’s free-range chicken to a selection of seasonal game birds.

The meat may change, but the principle remains the same: beautifully sourced British produce, cooked with care and served with all the trimmings it deserves.

And then come the accompaniments, because no great Sunday roast is complete without them. Expect a rotating selection of roasted roots, Vichy carrots, double spuds – creamy mash and beef-dripping roasties, seasonal greens and braised beef cauliflower cheese, to name just a few.

The meat will change every fortnight, but the ethos stays the same: great British produce, carefully cooked, properly sourced and served with all the accompaniments it deserves.

So gather your favourite people, leave the cooking to us and settle in for The Great British Sunday Lunch at Method. Come hungry, and roll home for a Sunday stuffed snooze.
